Judging Panel

We would like to thank the members of the jury in the Absherthon event for their efforts in making this national initiative a success. Absherthon was set up by the Ministry of Interior in partnership with Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, the National Information Center and Elm Company. Leading the “Service List” track was Eng. Sami Al-Hussein, in addition to the involvement of Dr. Hisham Al- Sagheer, Dr. Galal Al-Obaidi, Engineer Alaa Badkhun, Dr. Hatham Al-Tuwaijri, Dr. Amr Al-Assaad, and Engineer Osama Jan. As for the “New Service” track, the team was headed by Eng. Abdullah Al-Ghannam, in addition to the involvement of Dr. Hammoud Al- Dosari, Dr. Sultan Al-Farhoud, Eng. Fahd Al-Draibi, Dr. Sattam Al-Subaie, Dr. Khaled Al-Qahtani, and Dr. Bader Al-Samaani. As for the "Services in Times of Crisis" track, the team was headed by Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Muhaimid, and the involvement of Dr. Moaz Al- Khalaf, Eng. Nahed Al-Harbi, and Eng. Khaled Al-Luhaidan. The first place winners in each track received a cash prize of 100,000 riyals, the second place received 50,000 riyals, and the third place received 20,000 riyals.

Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Interior, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al-Daoud, on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior. In his speech on this occasion, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Interior conveyed the thanks and appreciation of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud to the participants for their ideas in the service of security work, and his thanks to those responsible for making the Absherthon event a success, stressing the Ministry’s keenness to develop electronic services by opening channels to communicate with the creative groups of young men and women of the country. In his speech, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Interior explained that the ministry continues to develop electronic services, enhance digital transformation, paving the way for everyone to develop the system of services provided on the Absher platform, indicating that the large numbers that presented their ideas are a source of pride and confidence in the people of the country. At the end of the speech, His Excellency thanked the winners, congratulating them on their ideas and winning the challenge, wishing them success. This was followed by honoring the partners who contributed to the success of the Absherthon event, then the general result was announced by honoring the top three in both the existing services track and the new services track. The first place in each track received a cash prize of 100,000 riyals, the second place in each track received 50,000 riyals, and the third place in each track received 20,000 riyals. All of the 20 ideas that reached the final stage will be under development in the Absher Oasis, and their owners will work to develop them with Absher employees. The closing ceremony was attended by His Highness Prince Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mashari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs, His Excellency the President of the Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, His Excellency the President of the National Information Center, Dr. Essam Al-Waqit, and the CEO of Elm Company, Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Jadhi.
